well theres 2 types of K&N set up that you can do,
1. A drop in K&N you can increase your main jet with your stock exhuast and a after market exhuast to a 155 usually (stock is 150)
2. In which i like to call the Stage 2, i only reccomend with an aftermarket exhuast for full benefit. Take a round K&N filter that you can buy off a sportsman, and clamp it directly to your carburator, with an aftermarket exhuast of any sort you can increase to a 170 main jet, and if its a high flow aftermarket exhuast all the way to a 175 (what i run) (185 is the largest jet for this carburator) this is a big power increase.

Further wake up call in 2 steps:
1) buy a White Brothers muffler (e-series or e2, Pure Polaris sells both and Daryl Rath has a SICK carbon fiber one but in limitted quantities)
2) buy a Rath Racing Head pipe.
These two modds totally got rid of the pipey feel of my Predator. The added low end is AWESOME! The powerband is extremely linear with significant gains from bottom to top. Overall, I very much recommend both of those exhaust mods.
P.S. Yes the Rath Header will work w/ other mufflers, but it is designed to work w/ the White Brothers specifically and provide the best gains with that muffler.
