Why do you want to bore it? Boring it makes little hp gains. The biggest thing you can get gains from is a good pipe and porting. You should save the bore for future rebuilds. If you go too big and you need to rebuild in the future it will cost big bucks to re sleeve the cylinder. You will not notice anything from a bore job.

boring is only for when you need to bebuild. like to many said clutching, pipe and jetting is the cost effective way to get hp.in the engine porting is the next step.

boreing is for when you rebuild, like previously stated, but if you want to spend a bunch of money you can find a big bore kit for it and have it resleaved and alll that. so you may as well just buy a 400
