we just bought a 06 Sportsman 700 v-twin EFI about a month ago. when we first rode it we noticed it made a clinking or thumping noise when the clutch engaged and disengaged, but it was not that bad so we didn't think much of it. we thought breaking it in would make it go away because it was brand new. about 2 weekends and 185 miles later the noise started getting a little worse. do you think the belt needs to be adjusted or is that normal?

 

I'm not sure, but if its that new, have the dealer make it right while the warranty is still good.
