you tell me, since i put these tires on which are 27" vs. stock 26" when going down the rd today i actually caught and passed my buddy with his brute force 750. he told me he was full tilt and i said noway. i couldnt beat him before so something must be wrong with his wheeler right .

Yeah one inch wont make much of a top end difference. How close of a race was it before you put the tires on? I would put my moeny on either he was lying or there is something wrong with his quad.

If you put tires on the bike that are lighter like mudlites then they will expand at high speed quite a bit and 1" might be like 3"s and mph will be up from that and your bike having less rotating mass equals higher top speed and better acceleration as well. Tires can make a huge difference.

I agree tires can make a difference, however mudlite xtr's are heavy. I have a set of 27 xtr's and when I switch to 25 inch badlands I pick up 5-7mph on GPS. Why...because they feel like feathers compared to the xtr's.
