400ex will win on topend but will get smoked in 300ft drag,hillclimds,mud.......pretty much everything but topend and a MX track.

I am new to the forums but this is one topic I can relate to. I have owned a Scrambler 400 and 500, The 400 was way more responsive and all around more fun to ride. The 500 was a work horse in a sports bike clothing.
Now the 400ex was a blast to ride! quick, light and easy to toss around. Id I was to chose between them again I would take the Honda. It was also more reliable and consistant. The 400 Scrambler I was always messing around with the air mixture and jetting to get it running right.

My .02

Gee ya think? Of course it was and that is why it was lighter, quicker and more responsive. And why I was always having to mess with the fuel/air mixture. I was merely giving my opinion.
