Default MX racing an sp700efi???

Can it be done??? They have a 4x4 quad class in the IRACE series... and I was thinking of giving it a try. That way I can race too on my boys race weekends. I was planning on removing my bumpers, winch and racks... and anything else to make it lighter. but I just wanted to know if anyone has tried it before. What will break first ands what to do to prevent it. Thanks, Dan.

i have several questions

1. when you say MX, you mean whoops and jumps right?
2. are you insain?
3. do you have a death wish
4. how interested are you in seeing how your kids grow up

and for the final comment

yes, it can be done, its dangerous, and your belt will be the first to go. i did ALOT of jumping on my SP800 and after about 350 miles the belt snapped. i woudlent say its hard on your machine if your getting like a foot of air, hell you can jump pickup trucks. just remember that your machine is weighing in past 800 pounds with you on it, the suspension has to accomidate for all that.

My brother In law likes to catch a little air on his 700EFI at the dunes. This caused him to blow out two rear shocks while riding down a relatively smooth trail. He had shock spacers and stiffer springs which might have played a roll in his shocks blowing out early. I really don't think these big heavy quads would hold up that well on the MX track and heaven help you if you ever got underneath it in a wreck. Overall, this one is not a good idea.

Reminds of the famous last words of a Red Neck "hey y'all watch this".

Can't race the trailboss, it's for sale so my oldest boy can buy his own miniqaud to race! And they no longer let the Dads race miniquads in our series... so I have to get my own racer!!!
