Mud riding you are luck to get 500 miles. Just trails maybe 1000. If you need sorce for good brakes shoot me a PM and I help you out.

 

1300 on mine and the pads still look good.

 

heck i only have 400 miles on mine and my rear brake is squealing.
i havent looked at the pads yet just thought i would ask . anyone got suggestions on how to make it quiet down??

 

WOW what has happened. I have an 01 sportsman 500 HO with over 4000mi and i still havnt replaced them! Rear brake is the worst, still have a good bit in the front.

 

I havn't checked mine lately to know. I do have a squeel noise coming from the rear somewhere and I havn't looked at it to find out where it is coming from. I do use the rear brake pedal more than the hand brake fro all the wheels so maybe that is what I am hearing. My sportsman is at about 1200 slowly driving miles. I don't tend to go over 20 mph too much.

 

Most I ever got was 4500

 

I have 5500 miles on my 04 Sportsman and the pads don't need replacing yet. Great engine braking......

 

we had about 2000 on our 98' sportsman before they needed to be replaced.
