Default NEED FOR SPEED.....

Got a 700 efi 2005 model. There is a local drag race held in a nearby town once a month. I need to to shave 1 sec. or so off a 300 foot run. I know wieght is an issue but i need to keep it as factory looking as possible. Anyone used the aftermarket computers? I know tire/wheel wieght is one thing, but it's gonna take more to get what i need. Anyone using NOS? Any suggestions would be helpful.

I have the carbed 700 and have modded it up. A cam, exhaust and an 800 primary should help you alot. I'm also in the process of tuning my nitrous kit in and will post the results.

Have you done anythign to the stock clutching?? That would be the first palce to start or if you are really serious you need to do ex. cam, head port, and clutching. We also offer a high flow intake for that machine too. On the fuel controllers adn cdi stuff there are some availabel but you will not see any gains by using them. With our cam, head , ex. you can pick up over 3 mph over a stocker with a cluthc kit and 800 primary in 300 ft.

Where is this drag held at? I would install an 800 primary with a polaris green spring. What it will do is stall to 2500rpm and then let loose. But you have to practice holding the break and letting go just at the right time. Get an 800 header and an aaen muffler. Also use a dobeck tfi and a k&N. Use smaller tires like badlands xtr's or maxxis alltraks on a super light wheel. I would see how all of this does first then look into a cam. I think the mudbuster is the cheapest.

Jordo, IMO Actuall you probably don't want to hold the break in, what happens is the belt will start to suck down in to the secondary before you go which causes you to take off in a higher gear which will accelerate slower. Teh mud buster is better than stk. but still doesn't offer the same power as ours there cam has .236" lift and 221 duration were our cam has .252" lift and 228 duration offering more power we also advance the intake timing a liitle to give it better bottom end.
