Hello everyone, my scrambler quit on me the other day when I was doing a wide open run to test jetting. it was starting to get to rev high, then it just quit. I did alot of things to it thinking it was the carb, tried 6 different plugs, drained the base, put gas in the cyl and nothing much was happening. I took the head off to inspect to see if there was any scoring or if I melted it down and everything was fantastic. while I had the head off I wanted to see if timing was off so I pulled it over and it is firing at bdc and tdc. What causes this?? I would like to buy the part today to fix this. I am 100% positive it is firing at both bdc and tdc. I spent over an hour on it with 2 others to confirm it. Please help! What are some things it could be that make this happen? It is not the key on the flywheel, I do not want to pull the flywheel off if it is going to be a electrical component such as the cdi. But if it most likely a stator or flywheel problem then I will buy a puller and take it off. Thanks alot, Brian

OKay guys I took the flywheel off. Not a thing wrong with it. Flywheel is excellent and so is the key and the stator. I ran some tests with hte exciter coil and it turned out good so I think its the cdi. What do you guys think? I took pictures while I had everything apart.
