Default Trailblazer water in tranny

I went through alot of water today and after a while it started to slip. Do I just need to let it dry out or is there a drain plug that will help dry it out better? If there is a plug is there fluid in there or is it just a belt? I noticed some post about other polaris models where people were pulling the drain plug and running it in nuetral for about 10 mins is this all I should do?
