Default sp 800 vs bf 750 speed

ok heres a good one. i posted a while ago that my 800 w/ 27" xtr's was faster then my buds 05 750 w/ 25" tires. i figued because his was some what worn out is why and maybe because of tire diffence. now that being said, he went out and bought a07' bf 750 w/ 26" mudwisers(which ride like sh.t by the way) and he had it doing 70 mph on speedo the other day going down a hill. well last night coming home i had a jump on him so we let it roll and by my surpise he could not catch me. he was w/in 3 bikes of me and then i pulled away from him all the way until we stopped. now i know he can take me out of the hole being lower geared i guess and he turns up faster. but my speedo will only show maybe 62 to64 mph. i wish i could get an accurate speed. anyways the ole sp800 is faster then the bf 750 in this case either the 05 or 07' couldnt beat me. wow

hahaha, nice.. i love haering topics about these two in drag races. They are really close, but as you said, and from my personal preference, the 800 is a tad faster..

Hrmm, interesting ive seen zero evidence of the popo 800 outrunnin a brute 750 in any manner. Ive even watchd drag videos with them in it, brute takin a fairly easy win, thats cool though. U got the raggin rights for that race. I'd really like to line a sportsman 800 up with my 650i, considerin its quicker than my buds 07 750. good ridin fellas. -joe

my other friend also has the 650i and its real quick as well. it does a good wheelie. but it was new so we didint beat on it. i think beacus eof the 27" tires are making the differnce as when mine was new stcok tires on both i couldnt catch him. i can take long distance say after 1/8 mile.

"gimme speed. how fast can it go? can it get me, 0-60, over her quickly, can it outrun her memory"-

ok, i have a pretty good feeling either brute force can out run sp 800, 700, etc...
but i will give you this, the crappy stock 4 ply tires might be giving us kawi riders an advantage, stock for stock. polaris does put "real" tires on their atvs and they are heavier to turn thus slowing it down in a drag.
maybe good tire to good tire it's a different story. i would at least think the brute force would be equal to and i still would have put money in our (kawi) favor but good win for pooh pooh 800.

How much do the riders weight?
that and gear boxes also make a difference.
Also i would think your 27 " tires would slow you alot.
Evenly weighed the sp800 would be faster IMO.

My buddy on a Outty 800 raced a sp800 at the Jamboree drags in MI and the Outty only won by about 1/2 quad length in about 1/8 mile run.
The outty rider did out weigh the sp800 rider by about 60 lbs.

Picts HERE

it was my bf750 and i weight 245lbs,steve must weigh 180lbs so that would even out the weight issue tire size is the key his tires are alot taller than mine he hit the road andpunched it i was 5 to6 lengthes behind him coming out of the trail on to the road i punched it and closed within 2 lengthes at
aprox 800 feet then he just slightly started to inch me it was not a drag race!
