Default overheating presist

went for a ride today and what do you know it over heated again. first the light came on as always and checked it and it wasnt hot or blowing antifreeze. lay your hands right on the hoses. drove it for another mile that way and it finally overheated the right way lol. the fan is working crectly and the radiator is not plugged. the funny thing is that i drove 18 miles slowly not more then 30 mph but when i pushed going home around 50 mph is when and alway is when i start having the hot start flashinh no matter if its hot or not. the dealer had it and said there is nothing they can do because they cant get it to do it driving in the parking lot and idling it for an hr. i'm ready to burn this thing some days.

I am kinda in the same boat. Except mine really isnt overheating, just pissing out the overflow weephole. You got all the air out of the cooling system?

When dead cold take the radiator cap off, start it up and look at the coolent. Is it bubbling?

Head gasket or cracked head into a water passage. The piston acts like an air compressor and injects air (bubbles) into the cooling system and the combustion gasses heats up the water to a super heated state.

Over heating and bubbling ='s cracked head or blown head gasket.

i would doubt very much that it has either of the those problems as it has all its power and no signs of them.

My atv runs as good as ever 60+ mph, no smoke, and no coolant in the oil. and it has a blown head gasket. just found out. I pressurized the head to 100psi and bubbles started coming to the top of the radiator fill. Its not out of the question, just check all your options first!

From what you described almost sounds like a pump failing/failure especially since your highspeed runs are producing the biggest symptoms. Just a thought.
