Not everyone wants to ride around on a midget sized 450 either, i like being able to have a bike big enough for me to be comfortable on, not squished up on a quad made for a 14 year old 125lb kid. 2 Stroke Banshee's are cool, but not everyone likes that sort of power curve.

Well, if I'm not mistaken, the Predator was made more for trail riding. Ever notice how all of their ads say something to the extent of "tear up the trails"? Or how most of the pics of the Pred are in the woods, not on a track. I know that Polaris also says that it can dominate the track as well, but all manufacturers say that. It's just marketing. I know for a fact that a YFZ can't hang with a Pred on long trail rides. I was stationed in Alaska for 3 years (and 99% of the riding there is trails) and there was a group of us that always rode together. 4 of us had preds, 1 guy had a YFZ, another had a DS650, and another had a Z400. The other guys would take a beating on the trails and would really have to work the quad to get it through some of the trails. I rode the YFZ and was not impressed, but then again, all I do is trail riding. So don't come in a Polaris forum asking why the Pred's suck and how your Yamaha is so much better and why you never see them on the track. The 450's were made to be "out of the box and to the track' quads, as where the Pred wasn't. And just so you know, I sold my Yamaha for a Pred, and I am glad that I made the switch.

When I was younger we use to ride almost every weekend. We were just 2 hours from Little Sahara.
Now that my kids are old enough to start riding, I bought a Yamaha Raptor 350 for my wife and I to share and have slowly been buying each their own quad once they have mastered the little Raptor 50. Once everyone has their own quad my plan was to buy a 700 Raptor for myself. But after having to listen to all the chest thumping by the Yamaha owners in most forums, it has turned me off on Yamaha and I did not think that was possible. It is usually a Yamaha owner going into other threads talking how great their Yamaha is and everything else is worse than your neighbors Yugo. You rarely hear a Suzuki or Predator owner going into other forums stirring up sh*t.
With the Suzuki lt-R450 out and the new Outlaw 525 just around the corner the arrogent Yamaha owners better get their chest thumping done, because I think there may be some new dogs in town.
