2001 TrailBlazer 250 Problems
#1
i have two problems that i gotta figure out on this, one it that when i push the foot brake i have nothing at all, the only break i have and can use is the hand brake and wanna fix this sence it sucks having all four wheels stop and its been like this sence i bought it so its nothing new, also i need to find out how i can adjust my oil injection because last time i took it out it wouldnt open up more then half throttle until i dumped some mixed gas into it, any help much apreciated

You can bleed the brakes, but it may end up doing it again. It's a pretty common problem. They (Polaris) say the rear brake is an assist, and not to be used for braking. Sounds odd, but it's in the service manual.
I wouldn't mess with the injection any more. Get a block off plate and just use premix. That way you know it's getting oil. If it's not working a little bit, not working at all can't be far behind. No oil is a bad thing.

Ive tryed bleeding them and they wont tighten up at all, they lock up good with the hand brake just not foot brake, and really cant do the block off, parent wouldnt allow it, it uses almost no oil and gets pretty hot for some more info

They don't use a lot of oil to begin with.
Have you taken the pads themselves out yet? Just looking at the top may not be giving you all the info you need on how the pads are wearing.

LOL whenever I jump on the Polaris from riding the Yamaha I always got to remember that you ONLY use the one hand brake to power the Front AND Rear brakes at the same time.
The foot one seems to be for an emergency or as said to ASSIST in a little more back there.
But on anything with 4 wheels, you don't want to be JUST using the REAR brakes. Most of the weight transfers to the FRONT brakes when you stop anyway so that's where most of the braking comes from while the rear kind of keeps you stable, etc.
On our 250, I've never had to add any more oil. But I guess it don't get riden enough to really use it up. It looks to have a pretty large oil tank.
If you want to do a CHEAP mod to it that makes a BUG difference, change out the spring in the auto transmission. A stiffer spring lets it rev higher before grabbing the belt. It will pop a wheelie if you put the dark BLUE spring in it

thanks for the help but i have also seen on the internet a splitter for the brakes wich adds another brake handle on the right side, left for front and make the right for rear...would anyone reccomend this or think i should stick with what i got?

The ones I've seen just seperated the system. Same hand brake for the front, pedal operated the rear.
Just depends on what you want to spend the money on.
Call Rick at Ritter Cycle, I think he may offer the kit as well as some other stuff to wake it up a bit.
