Drove one around a while. First impressions - good, smooth ride, SLOW!!!
I would recommend the 500 SP as the 325 is likely slower than what you are driving now.
Never drove the 400 yet, may be a happy medium.

If money is not an issue, spend the extra grand and get the Sportsman HO.I have two friends that bought 335 Sportsmans, they took a ride on my 99 500cc Sportsman and now they are pissed. The dealer was out of Sportsman 500s at the time,so he give them some bologna information on the 335 vs the 500cc and sold them both 335s.

There is a HUGH acceleration differance between these two models. If power/ground clearance and acceleration play NO role in your decision, than a 335 will work,
Bill

I've ridden with a 335 twice. Although I have not ridden one myself. It was a competent performer in the mud, and on hills. Performance was not his strong point, however. Acceleration was quite weak. I don't know for sure what his top speed is, but at 50+MPH, he wasn't able to keep up. But then, I don't believe top speed means much with a utility quad anyway. Where it really mattered, the 335 did just fine! If your looking for performance, get the HO. I have ridden one of those, and its a strong bike.

Not to slam the SP335, but I have raced one on my Rancher & the results were not close, the SP335 couldn't keep up.

The motor really isn't strong enough for the weight of the quad. Spend a little extra & get a SP400 or 500 you will be happier. The 400 uses the motor out of an xpedition which is 425cc. The Ho is one strong & fast quad.

Plus, didn't Polaris discontinue the SP335 model for the year 2001?

I have one I know. Everyone is right about the quad being slow and underpowered. I sat on and contemplated that big yellow SP500 the day I bought the SP335, but that salesmen telling me the power wasn't that much different and the big difference in price. It was $1500 at my dealer.
I'd give $1500 for that 500 motor now.
