I have a 2001 scrambler 500 2x4 and when it runs, it runs great. the only problem is i cant seem to get it running lately. Its getting fuel, air, and spark. the last time i rode i was having a hard time keeping it idle without dying finally it wouldnt start so i took the seat off and there was oil in the air box and all over the filter. today i checked the oil and it has gas mixed in with it for some reason. can anyone tell me whats going on and/or what i can do to fix this problem. Id like to go riding soon thanks....Danny

 

i think you might have burnt rings or a cracked block

 

Your CARB might be dirty or even blocked....check the small hole where your needle jet and pilot jets are........caper.........

 

The engine may be flooding......float stuck...fuel running in the engine...caper...

 

Check for compression for your fatal engine ring problems.........that should tell you....caper....
