Default front storage useless

What is the front storage actually for? It isn't completely waterproof, storage is oddly shaped, and it is seems like it would be totally useless if I put a snorkle on it (because that is where most are). Do or is there anyone that is making an aftermarket rack.

Oh and where are you suppose to put a flag at, am I just going to have to make my own braket?

I wouldn't call it useless. I keep a medical kit, extra fuel line, extra gloves, clothes, a folding tool kit and more small items in it. Besides you can strap a bag or case on it in addition so I do not see the advantage of a rack in place of this. JMO.

06LP,

I learned to have it by needing it when I did not have it. Now I have it all the time but the only use I have made of it, knock on wood, is to use the scissors in it to cut and repair a fuel line on the trail on my old tb when it leaked and I forgot the other tools I keep in the back--hence the now folding tool kit in the front also--see a theme here???lol.

other brand wheeler would kill to have any kind of storage. we put dry clothes in a big zip lock bag to keep them dry. saws and tools tire repair kit something to drink, the uses are really ends as long as it fits and you know its going to get wet.

I wonder if the '07's will be more water tight, The shock cap area is sealed, and the fuse area is much more sealed compared to the flimsy fuse cover I have!

We put an 07 front box on my buddy's 05 800 after he flipped it so we are going to find out how good the seal is
