03 predator starter stuck on~~~
#1
I dont think it is my switch on the handle bars, but I dont know enough to say it isn't I just know its not sticking "in".
This happened to me once before and I disconnected the battery then reconnected it the next day and it went 2 weeks before it happened again. What should I replace/look for so I can ride the ultra fun predator again!!!
Thanks for the help...

I'm not sure......sounds like the starter might be about shot.......probably is a bit gummed up......might have to tear it off......

it is going to be the switch or the silinoid. (I know, bad spelling) The switch would be the first thing I would check. See if there is a plug that goes to the switch, If there is, when it happens agian, unplug it and see if the starter keeps going. If it doesn't stop, most likely it is the silinoid. Starters must have dc going through it for it to turn. Not gunk.

Thanks for the replys. This happened to me the first time. The second time it was to a friend who DID disconect the switch so now I assume it is the solinoid. I tried to register for Predatorowners.com but they never sent me my email confirm and I havn't been able to reach a moderator to get in yet.. Does anyone know how to reach them? I'd love to join!
I'll definantly be looking to getting a new solinoid for the pred!
On a side note I was very happy that my preddy was neck and neck w/my cousing suzi ltz 400 that has rejet/k&n/no spark arrestor and about 150lbs lighter! I really thought he was gonna be faster for some reason! The road we were on wasn't long enough we only got to 68mph on his trail tech.
Thanks guys!

I called the local atv store and they said that there is no "solinoid" on the preds. There is however a magnetic switch (sounds like a solinoid to me) that goes between starter/battery. Dang turn time is 4-6 buisness days and 55 bux.
