Default Venting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hey all,

Just blowing off some steam here, let me now what u think.

Got this 07 700 sportsman, did a scad of mods to the bike and then took it out. well 22 miles into my trip, smapped a front c/v axel. Well, yep it was my fault, too big of tires and too much HP. Enough said about that, here is the issue....

Go to order the new shaft, cant get, expected date, nov 28/2006 plus a week to get to Canada dealer...
not to mention that it was 2 weeks ago today that I broke it, soo I have a new atv with 22 miles on it, and I have to stare at it for 2 months till I get a shaft. this is BS

PS reason being that they cant get me a shaft is that it is new in the 07s and is only avaioble at the factory for production, and they refuse to pull one from there to get to me...

SOOOOOoooo polaris is more concerned about a potential sale atv, than the person that has already bought and invested into polarisindustries..

I am lost for words,

slowly loosing faith

Just a thought but if you have already snapped the stock axle due to the stress w/the mods why go back to stock. Gorilla axle or other aftermarket not avail?

What tires do you have? Is there any suspension lift on it too? Not doubting you, but you probably know that Polaris fronts usually don't break. I am surprised of this issue. I have had some bad luck too, and several of these guys screamed abbuse. I denied it though, you have stepped up and admited it was your fault. Too bad that doesn't get you any parts quicker. Hang in there man, you bought a Polaris for some kind of reason! Try not to let this tarnish your love for the quad! If it makes you feel better, my buddy had the same problem in '03 with his Grizzly front cv. The dealer took one off of a quad in stock though. That is called customer service! You are stuck between a rock and a hard spot though, you have to decide on trying to do warranty or Gorilla! Good Luck.

I guarantee Gorilla axles are in stock. The lady told me they hardly ever sell.

well guys here is the whole story, I am a teck for a polaris dealer, I cant pull one out of another bike, they have used 2 diffent axles in the 07s already, this one is the latest version, and not readily avail. Gorrila and the cv man have axles they think will work, but they are like myself, unsure as to what and why the change in axles,,,,

I have busted scads of axles before and replaced with HDs from other suppliers, had good luck, but this atv had 22 miles on it, dont plan on keeping it more than the warranty peroid ad want the keep all stock mechanical parts in place..

I am running 30" mud lites, and 3 " lift... also the hot seat duals. everything about the atv is killer, but the backing from polaris industries, well I really cant get too far into it, it makes ME look bad when I am loosing controll of patiens for the company that is my livelyhood. oh well what can u do . smile and bear it..

Thanks fellas, needed the suppert.

So, the oversize tires and lift don't void the warranty?

I'm just a little skeptical of this whole "I am a teck for a polaris dealer" statement.

I didn't say they don't break, But I did say they USUALLY don't break. Obviously anything can break. I am aware of the CV man, I just haven't needed to purchase his products. Polaris front axles/cv's are the stongest stock ones out there.

Anyway moving on now, I would like to see some pics of the beast. I have 28's and a small, home thought of, lift and I think this is high. Mine is 15 3/4" clearance at the front skid plate and 16" at the rear. You probably tower that

That is still a bummer, no parts avail. Like you said, they got your dough, your old news!

i still think if you put stronger axles(gorilla) then it puts more undue stress on the front end. the 30" tires for sure does. i dont beleave it would covered under warranty when any mods are done, not sure of course. my luck and under warranty crap isnt been good.

A lot of mods can be done, and still keep the warranty intact (except parts replaced). However, once you go to larger size tires than stock, almost all will void.

Oversizesd tires and lift, do not void the warranty, the fact is if it causes defects, they arent warrantyable, the atv still is covered under any ohter issues.
Be sceptical , ur choice dude. WTF
