Hi everyone, Looking at purchasing a 95 magnum for pulling a fish house and wondering if anyone knows anything about these or should I stay away from it? Thanks

Three of them in our area and all without problems, a very good quad and dependable Polaris for pulling and towing and going and snowing......................

Both my brothers bought '95 2x4 new and they still run fine. You can pull a little over 4500lbs, that is what our ski boat weight is, 20' Hurricane deck boat..........

goodluck.................handycap

Thanks Handycap, My fish house is 3300lbs total and about 600lbs of that is tongue weight. I have been reading all the posts on this machine all night long and the only real problem I am hearing about is the chain driven 4x4. Just wondering if this is a big enough issue to not purchase. The one I am looking at is going for $1700. Good deal? (if it is in good shape)

The chain drive is no problem just get you a manual and keep them adjusted.
The only problem area is the cam and if it goes bad you can replace it for around $150.

ftwflh, sounds good. What do you think about the price? $1700 seem high or is this not a bad price?

A buddy of mine just sold his '96 425 Magnum 4x4 with a plow for $2k. His was in very good condition. So, $1700 is probably reasonable if it is in decent shape.

It was a very reliable machine for him. The biggest thing he would complain about is location of the tank vent. It would stall out on him climbing hills with a full tank of gas. I doubt that will be a problem for you if you are just pulling a fish house around.
