I think your best bet would be to contact your Polaris dealer for a service manual. I do not see any Clymer repair manuals for this year Polaris.

is it a 2004 or a 2004.5, it makes a difference.

Actually, the manual is the same for a 2004 and 2004.5. The manual (I have one) refers to these as "early 2004" and "late 2004".

Polaris does not sell manuals directly. You have to go through your local dealer. It's a good manual, though, well worth the money. Not like some "service" manuals that are just glorified owner's manuals. This one covers everything.

BTW, the 600's and 700's share a manual for 2004.

Seeing as the 02 and 03s are pretty much the same machine as the 04's would the manual be the same? I know with like a honda civic or a chevy truck you can use the same chilton's manual for xxyear to xx year.
