the t boss is faster and the hawkeye has had some carb issues. do a search on them and you'll see. i wouldnt buy the green one either on the other hand the the hawkeye is under powered but a better irs will be a good ride.

The TB looks to be made better than the Hawkeye and the bugs are gone in it.
I have a TB and with a clutch spring change it is a very fun machine.

i did see some of the first ones have carb issues but a friends gf has one and it moves just fine our dealer seems to do there homework. my biggest thing is that the hawkeye they have is green so i thought maybe the trail boss would be better a lil faster but no 4x4 and the red color is a plus but just dont want my other half getting stuck half way up a dune or hill she will freak!!!!

I have two 2004 TB's. You can do a lot to them. Mine can hang with the 4wd's pretty good. I have not been on a Hawkeye but I can say the Trailboss is a good quad for the money.

Like some of the others have stated the TB is a great quad for the money. I have a 03 TB that I have rode hard and it just keeps taking the pounding and keeps on going. Like stated earlier it thinks it is a 4x4. Mine goes good in the mud and muck. As for the sand hills you want to keep the momentum up and hope that the hill isn't that big. I too have a EPI spring and it helps. I would recommend changing the springs. I have a little more snap. Nothing like a sport quad but better then stock. I haven't rode a hawkeye so I can't say anything with it. Good luck.

Don't know about the Hawkeye. No problems with my Boss and I ride it like I stole it. Do change the spring. Even with the stock tires did just great. Proven machine.

Ive Ridden the trailboss and its More comfy than the Hawkeye, and its bigger, but it cant do what the Hawkeye 4x4 can do ,The Hawkeye will out climb the trailboss any day and outrun it,outpull it and get more Compliments ,,yeah the green aint the best color but alot of People come up to it and ask what Make is it ,,it has all the Gizmos too..the trailboss is just a 2 wheel drive Atv that has a big flat seat and will run maybe 45 mph on a good smooth road,,put it in the sand and its lucky to 30MPh. ON the Other hand the 4x4 Hawkeye with 25 inch tires on it will go anywhere and do anything a Polaris magnum will or a sportsman,,If i could do it all over again i would have gotten a 330 Magnum 4wd..But to get back the the choice of the tb or Hawkeye id pick the hawkeye 4wd over the trail boss provided that it runs Okay.
