2005 Trailboss, Need Spring Help, ? I Think
#1
The Trailboss is ridden by my 13 year old daughter. The machine does fine as we are not interested in a fast top end machine, but it would be nice if we could get this quad to crawl a little slower when on the trails. It seems the rpm's have to be pretty high before we get engagement of the belt. I know this machine is really not designed to be a crawler as the other models with the low gear option, yet this quad was the perfect size for my daughter. Would a spring change help correct this. If so, is it something a novice could peform or would a dealer need to install, and which spring would you reccomend ? Thanks for your help.

Go with a EPI pink spring it will get a little lower engagment but will also get more top end speed.I went with this spring because i needed more pulling power on hills and enought power for my wife to keep up with the other rides going on roads. It did what I wanted and I think it will do your job too.

VEry simple just take the cover off ,the 6 small bolts and the big one in the center and when going back together be sure to line the Xs up.
