Default itp mudlites

i was thinking about getting the itp mudlites for my 06' sportsman 500, the polaris extreme tires that came with my polaris are pretty good, does anybody think the mudlites would do better in snow and mud,i want to keep the stock size. thanks!

I would not buy them, why do you think they are so AFFORDABLE, its because they are so cheaply made with a very soft compound, they wont last very long, and even less time if you do much road running.

The ITP Mudlites are an excellent choice. They will be more agressive than your stock tires and probably more puncture resistant as well. Most every tire test I've ever seen has always ranked these tires as one of the best all-around tires you can buy. I currently have them on the front of the 700 and 500 and will replace the rears with them as soon as the stockers finish wearing out. They are excellent in the snow as well as in all but the very worst of mud conditions which requires special mud tires.

i agree they are soft, and might not last as long as similar models, but why would you want to do any road running with this tire?
i cant go over 40 on pavemnt or i about get thrown off.
i stick to dirt and mud with them.

I ran them on one of my quads for two years and loved them. I still have them on the back of one of quads. I would check on the newer ones that have the deeper lugs.

if you get the m/lites get the xl's as they have a deep lug. if you like the way your pxt's handle then maybe consider the mud lite xtr's which are also a radial tire as is your pxt's. the reg m. lites are a bias tire but still pretty good all round tire.

i have tried out a couple of different tires on my machines and love the lites. there is over 1600km on my set and they are only about half gone. half the guys i ride with are using them now and no one has anything bad to say. one guy has bugs and says they are great in the mud but shake the griz pretty bad on the trails. talk to some people and see what they are using and what they think before you buy anything and you will be better off.

The Mudlite XTR's are supposed to be an excellent radial tire.
Also, they don't balloon up when you gun the throttle.
