Trade a predator for a 250R?

Would anyone trade a 03 predator thats been used and is probably in average shape (little owies here and there) for a 86 honda 250r that has (according to owner) 9k in mods and is worth around 4k.. I cant prove the mods yet and I havnt' ridden the bike. . . I ride mostly trails. I've heard both sides of people saying 2strokes suck in the trails and some say they are good.. I'm just thinking if I dont like it I'll sell it and buy a newer 4 stroke sport quad again.

I used to have a 86 250r and for the trails it sucks.... If you were to take in out in the dunes or open desert or something I think it would be great but for the tight trails it was horrible. It is just to snappy for the trails and needs reved. I traded it for a hopped up 400ex. Stay with the 4 stroke.

depends how much you want a 250r....i want one for stunts and jumping and thats mainly it...they arent to easy to find anymore as ppl want to keep them. But for the trails a 4 stroke would be best.

I was thinking about getting a utility quad from the dealer, not sure which one but I think it will be one of the quick couches (800cc) I'm a huge guy and I'm getting beat up pretty bad on the sport bike.. I guess my question is which one would bring a better resale value.? I'm looking thru craigslist.org and the pred is going for a couple hundred more then mildly modded 250r's... What do you guys think? Has anyone ever traded in w/the dealer? Do they give decent value etc.. I think worse case I'll just keep the 4 stroke.

I have a 86 250r and a 03 raptor, my 250 has a paul turner mid range pipe with a factory silencer to keep down on the noise(also gives you a little more bottom end) its ported ,not anything crazy to keep a broad power band ,and a 38mm kehien air stryker carb,and it will eat my raptor alive, its not even close. My raptor has a ct pipe and its louder than sh#t. You dont have to shift very much at all in the woods just got to be good with a clutch in 3rd gear [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img] as for handling Ive never been on another machine I could be in 4th going around a bend on pavement, drop the hammer drop the clutch pitch it sideways and powerslide on dry pavement[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
