Sometime when I turn off my 4x4 , one hub will stay engaged and it will pull hard to that side. Is that what you are experiencing? If so the fix is simple, after you turn off the 4x4 just ride a short distance in reverse to disengage it. It is common on this quad and is mentioned in the owners manual.

how long do you have to ride in reverse? i tried doing it 20 feet and i tried down the whole street. didnt work.
when it got jammed in 4wd, it was right after i was doing donuts on the ice.

I had the same exact symptom happen to my 2002 Sportsman 500, but it wasn't stuck in 4WD. Ended up being the CV joint was bad. I ordered an entire assembly from Polaris and no more issues. Are you absolutely sure it's stuck in 4WD? I doubted myself, and confirmed it wasn't by putting the quad up on jackstands and verifying that the front wheels were not being driven.

If you went all the way down the street and it didn't disengage then I would say you have a bigger problem. It usually only takes ten or fifteen feet to get mine out.

Sounds like you have a major problem then as I only need to back up a foot or so now and then to disengage, just like my truck sometimes. Maybe you need to retourge your front end...100 inch pound if I remember right for the hubs.
