Hey Loaf Im from the TN area too, and if dont mind a drive to save some money I found two good websites, huge dealers that can beat that price, when I go to buy Im thinking of making the drive.
$5400 for EFI 500 06 Sportsman http://www.ritchiepowersports.com/polaris_atv.php

$5100 for HO 500 Sportsman 06 at http://www.southernpowersports.com/n...2&CatDesc=ATVs

Both are in TN area, Print these prices up and try to see if your dealer will match them, they might cause they know you'll walk out the door........

when i called southern powersports(20 mi. away) all they had was a 700 carb for 5795. they said someone else had bought the dealership and that's why they were so cheap and went so fast. the new owner will have to order the 07's.

Be sure and check all the details of the prices. I bought an 06 500efi in Sept. I was was willing to drive a bit to get a good deal. I wasn't going to buy a 700lb bike w/out a winch though. I found a place in north Bama That would sell me one for around 5500 otd. But they wouldn't throw in the free winch that Polaris was offering. They were going to charge another 400-500 for a winch. I paid 6500 otd with a winch at my local dealer. I could have probably saved a few hundred driving up north, but w/gas at 3 bucks a gallon at the time, it wasn't worth my time and the hassle.

I was about to buy a 500 EFI here in Georgia for around $7,200 out the door when I found the Southern Powersports web page and called. I got out the door with a 700 EFI Mossy Oak for under $6,000. I also found out that the State of Tenessee does not charge sales tax to those of us who have an out of state drivers license. I tagged my ATV on a monday and he had about 50 left and when I picked it up on Saturday he had about 3 left. People were buying these things 2 at a time and driving all the way from Arkansas to get them. I would still give them a call.
