I have run Aaen on my 400s before with no complaints.
On the clicking you need to get more specific.

The clicking is comeing from the oil pump, and its just annoying, you can hear it when idleing and at low RPMs but once you go loud its to quiet to hear, but is is clicking all the time. I hasn't caused any problem and i know its getting oil, since it is still running like a king. And I basically only have a choice of AAEN products or FMF, I'm gonna get a pipe & silencer first maybe a clutch kit, and than reeds. So is the FMF Gnarly pipe with the turbine core 2 silencer better than the top end pipe and aluminum silencer + the clutch kit from AAEN

AAEN is a better setup then the fmf from a tuning prospective.

more then likly your hearing the CB or piston slap.

the AAEN pipe is loud and just sounds sort of weird, having it rip on my 3 times and having to reweld my top end sort of lost it for me.

call RCR and talk to rick ritter, he sells HPD, AAEN and his own line RCR, he is very honest and will tell you how it is and which pipe to get and alot of times its not his.

I would go with the Aaen pipe +clutch kit(if you dont clutch it when you put a pipe on your bike can run worse than with the stock on) and then go with the FMF TurbineCoreII silencer.

What do you mean by piston slap, is it normal for the scrammy, to do this. Also my scramblers rear swing arm squeaks like a .... don't even wanna think about it. I think its the bushings going, and yes i have greased it tonnes and it always comes back. I would call this Rick Ritter I've seen his site and heard wonders of him, but I'm up in Canada so its a bit far. So all the parts i can order locally are from good ol royal distributing, or the local dealership which does not no dick all about performance

spray alittle wd40 in at the eye mounts of the shock, it may be those making the noise.

slap is common on alot of two strokes, but if the piston is stock its a bad sign, I can't beleive no one has said it yet, but if you do not have a wiseco do not add and aftermarket pipe. the increased rpm will increase the liklyhood of the skirt snapping off and getting chewed up in the bottom end. which happened to me with the stock pipe. build for longevity and then build for power.

Ok thanks maybe when i take it to get it jetted and ported and have the head polished, i could get the mechanic to throw in a weisco piston. I have heard bad things about the stock piston. How often should you have to rebuild. mines almost 7 years old and still thriving. But your very right build for longitivity first. I would like to remove my oil injection so you can jet it better. I ride trails and it would get annoying meansuring and what not. And Conig whats ur scrammy top out at.
