800EFI - too much body lean
#21
I had MV springs on the rear of my 800, WAAAAAAAAY too stiff, I mean I am 300lbs and they would barely squat with almost all my weight on the corner of the rack. I ended up with Ranger springs. They are 1/2" shorter, but have less sag. Before and after, you will have it stiffer than 800's and softer than the MV. I lost no ground clearance with the adjusters up. I loved it then. Just my trial and error experience!

Okay spyder, I'm not going to argue with you, or anyone for that matter, but to me, and my understanding of what a strut is, is the aluminum cartridge that HOLDS the actual shock in place, thats just what I was taught by many people. I had no idea another term for a SHOCK, was a STRUT, and the picture in one of your links is calling a SHOCK a STRUT, so if that is actually the case, then I misunderstood you from the start, my bad.
If a strut is actually a shock, and you were to go with a stiffer or better shock/strut then this would likely help your problem.
See that, I guess I just learned something new, the shock and strut are actually the same thing. Thanks.

i wasnt trying to hold a grudge or start an arguement, i was just simply stateing that you have your own views and ideas on the solution of the problem and from prior experience in the thread you were likely to defend your views. just trying to point out to thedon that you have qualified ideas aswell.

I have adjusted the rear and it helped but not a lot
What are some good springs to go along with the struts?
Thanks for all the help. I want to get this bad boy in shape so I am not tempted by the Renegade.
