if iwas you i would stay away from belt drive and get gear driven, belt slip i see it all the time, here in PA, they slip going up shear rock face trails and raging river, you might wanna check into a eiger with a gorilla winch. you will leave the competition far behind.

I have been on here quit a bit lurking about, before I joined. I think that I would like to get a Polaris. Would someone on here tell me some honest field tested strong points. Are the bushings that much better that they don't need grease?

Belts do not slip if you take the time to stop, shift into low gear and then go after the mud or crawl over the logs. The only belts i have ever seen smoked were by guys who think there machine is indistructable and stay in high gear until they smell the belt.

There may be alot of difference's on here. But you can learn alot. From most everyone. Evreyone is welcome. It's Alot of fun with the diffrent opion's. And the bickering. To me that's the most fun. I enjoy A good harmless feud. And then try to figure who know's what there talking about and who is just spouting off.
