We've had our '05 goin on two years. It's my daughters as well. We like ours. It's been very reliable and just the ticket for her. The '06 and newer are even better. It had a few minor glitches in it, but I was able to take care of them easily myself.

My wife and daughter are currently sharing an 06 and they both really like it. Although right before I got to the dunes a few weeks ago I cranked it up and it made a loud knocking noise. I thought it threw a rod. I let it set and restarted it and had no problems. I heard the same noice a few days ago and I am taking to the shop tomorrow. It's still under warranty so hopefully they will be able to find the problem. I will let you know the outcome.

Do yourself a favor a get her a proven one. Like the honda 250ex. It is as reliable as they come and it's a Honda. That Phoenix is made in Tiawan. I've heard of too many problems with them. If you ever decide to sell the honda will get you more money back.

The 250ex that my wife has is a pig and always will be. Can't wait to get rid of it. My wife picked it out cause it's cute....... Come to think of it my riding partners wife has a 250ex, it's a pig too..... I don't know anything about the Pheonix, but I sure wouldn't recommend the 250ex. Plus, it's a honda.

I have a 2005 for my daughter and she loves it easy to steer. We have had our problems with back firing, regulator melting, boot on swing arm busting but all problems fixed by dealer and all is good.

Just got my Phoenix back from the shop today and they could not duplicate the problem. The tech said it may be kick back from the starter. After doing some research it appears Polaris do have a some noise problems which don't really lead to anything. I will see how she does this weekend while out hunting.
