spitting oil out of carb
i posted this on the honda forum with no response, what do you guys think could be the problem.
friend of mine has a 06 rub 500, 4000 miles on it. over the weekend he started to burn oil (pretty smokey). he checked his air box and found it to have alot of oil in it. what do you guys think is the problem, broken ring???
i've seen bikes do that after they take on water, which pushes the oil up but there was no water involved.
its 7 months old and the dealer gave him an extra 6 months warrnty, he is taking it to the shop tomorrow.
thanks

buddy took the honda to the shop.
they said the bike was not warmed up before reving the engine. buddies son had the bike out last weekend when the temp was -17 C (stored in unheated shed), the choke was not working right so the son was reving the engine up to warm the bike up.
honda said if the engine isn't allowed to warm up slowly, it will suck up oil.
