Default thread sealant

Hello, I was planning on doing my first oil change on 06 Sportsman 500 and was unable to locate any Loctite 565 thread sealant any where in town, so I contacted my Polaris dealer and they said yea we have it, but when I got there they gave me Yamabond 4 semi-drying liquid gasket and said that is what they use instead. Any feelings on the subject?

If your talking about using it on the sump plug and it's like every one I have worked on it has a plastic or copper washer on the bolt. You should not need it, if this is the case. If not, Yamabond is good stuff.
