Where can I get one for my 03 700. The filter is a pain to get off without one. I need a wrench for mine. Do they sell them at the dealer? Can I get one at an autoparts store?

You can try one of those rubber slip type belt wrench....The ones that lock pressure when the handle is turned.....unlike the normal oil wrench these will grip at any adjustable spot...........caper......

take the new filter to the auto parts store and have them match a filter wrench to your filter.

I found a filter strap that will work perfectly at Autozone for $6.00.

THEY ONLY NEED TO BE PUT ON AS TIGHT AS YOU CAN GET IT WITH YOUR HANDS.THE HEAT OF THE ENGINE WILL TIGHTEN IT FURTHER THATS WHY YOU DO NOT USE A WRENCH TO TIGHTEN THE FILTER JUST YOUR OWN STRENGTH.

Go to your local wallyworld, grab a st7317 wal-mart filter and match it up with a "cap" filter right in the same isle. I looked at mine but did'nt see a size. I agree though, they should only be as tight as you can turn them by hand. Hope that helps.

it seems all mfg. put filters on way to tight. my wheelers, my truck and my bike was all on really tight to the point of ripping the can open to get them off. i've actually seen a truck oil filter cook right to the engine from lack of putting a oil film on the gasket. it wasnt good.
