#1
Well guys i got my race mod in and it seemed to run great...i took it out today and got used to it and warmed it up good...power seemed awsome...then i cracked on it in a nice strectch and it died on me...i have the 39mm carb on it w/ fuel pump...i went up to a 130 dynojet when i got home it seems to run better...but i won't know till i get it out again...anyone have any other suggestions about what would cause this?? i also have hi flow airbox mod w/ full on race mod motor, and clutchin from ritter...

i changed the jetting and took it up the road a few times...the power seems better and and at wot it didn't die, but it wasn't a real long stretch about a block and a half....i will know later today how it fairs out hopefully goes good

well i went up a couple sizes in jets and it's still not enough...it seems to be alright in low end...not as much power as expected but good, but up top it still dies....i'm gonna order a jet kit for the keihn instead of trying it w/ dyno jets i got w/ the prarie kit...so does anyone have a good starting point for the jets?? i'm also gonna get a couple new plugs for it...any other suggestions??

Your last post may have the answer to your problems. If you are using left over Dyno jets with you Scrambler stock carb needle, that may be it. The Dyno jets are meant to be used with the needle from the kit, they are specially tapered to flow together as a set. Get the Keihn jets and you will probably fix your problem. Also, the numbers are way different, a 140 Dyno jet is completely different from a 140 Mikuni or Keihn.

an HPD race motor with pwk 39 need to run a 168 to 172 main, with that said 170 run good too.
remove the airbox and put a k&n filtercharger in it or a foam filter with pre-filter on the pwk, will add torque and power for sure and wake that bike up.
