We use some red straps..but we have a closed trailer as well, so we don't have to worry about it. Although I don't think any of them have ever broken either..

I've got into the habit of using a cable and lock as a safety feature also when I strap the quads on a trailer, that way, if any strap breaks, the cable will keep it from causing a domino effect and all the quads coming loose.

According to the people who have had an accident like this...You're right - red straps are bad! lol. But as far as Honda goes, I don't think they're bad.

***snicker**** LOL That was funny... Honda's a good machine but it was still funny..

So what does everyone use? What kind of load rating? OR working load rating? On the straps?

Just a note to the pa folks, if you have an open trailer and the bikes are bouncing around( not tied down) and you happen to be stopped , the trooper can site you for an unsecured load. Also, if the the bike or any equipment falls off, you are liable for any damages or anything it hits. This also applies to pickups.

That's correct for PA. I like the cable and lock idea though. I use an open trailer and straps, but I think I am going to cable and lock also just for added security. I don't want that heart attack.
