Just a note for anyone in Jonesboro area. Craighead Forest Park has an area designated for atv riders now. They have built a nice parking area and there is over 10 miles of trails. The entrance is North of the main park entrance..

It has a long smooth trail that goes around the west end similar to a wooded walking trail which is the highest elevation , then the rest of the park is trails running in all directions and across each other with a lot of ruts and short deep holes. There was one long muddy stretch but the water was over my head and tail lights, it had rained all the night before we went so I assume there normally isn't as much water. It was my first time there, but it looked to me the only work done was a new fence around it and a nice new parking lot. So to answer your question, if you stay on high ground pretty smooth and no challenges, the bottom land was pretty rough

Before I got my atv a boy broke his back at Razor Rock so I heard it is posted now and they don't let anyone ride. I personnally have never ridden there. I have seen fresh tracks running up the hills when I pass by but don't know if it's workers or people sneeking in...

I see that you two are from Paragould, is there anywhere to ride in that area? Back in the 80's I use to drive 4x4 trucks at sand creek, do they alow anyone out there these days?

It's been way too long since I've been.

The 400 is running again.Just need to bolt up the foot pegs.

You guys ever try Chadwick, MO?? Any kind of terrain, neat park, probably no further than St Joe. I've been to both, like Chadwick better.
