white spring works well, and thats all you need. Alot of people are using green spring which engages a few 100 rpm higher. Makes a big difference on the take off, doesnt hurt top end at all.

Tried both white and green on my 400 Xplorer (same basic engine as the Scrambler). The green was great for drag racing, but the clutch kicked in too much like an on/off switch for slow, technical riding (my opinion). I hear the green is OK once you get used to it, though. I actually flagged off a hardpack road & checked speed to see how much good each spring did. I don't know the exact distance, but stock it hit 36 mph, white spring got it to 38 1/2, and the green got it to 39. 3 MPH may not seem like much, but keep in mind it is nearly 10% greater acceleration for under $20!
I used the white for better low-speed control.
