Are 2006 SP500 tires/wheels compatible with 2004 SP700?

(Originally misposted in the "Tires" forum, sorry.)
The tires are only one inch larger (26 vs. 25 inches), so I doubt there would be a problem due to diameter. However, I don't know if the 2006 wheels will fit the 2005 machine. Are the lug nut patterns the same? Are the 2006 wheels compatible with the 2004 brakes/axles/etc.?
Thanks!

i know when i put my 26" tires on the sportsman 450(stock 25") it changed the speedometer by about 5 mph. now my friends bf 750 he went from 25 to 27" and it lost more then that not sure how much though.

I f the 04 has outboard hubs, the new polaris aluminum rims with the solid center will not work without spacers. If you are refering to the steel or anyother aluminum wheel besides the polaris brand they will work.
