scrambler problems
#1
i was riding my bro's scrambler for about 6 or 7 hours with my bud's one night in the snow. nothing was wrong with it. went out there and rode it about 3 or 4 days later and it acts like its in 4 wheel drive constently. it will kick in at about 1/2 throttle or more. it isn't a constant either. it will grab then let go,grab, let go, and so on. when i switch to 4wd it is a constant and even grab. i have never heard of sutch a thing. i thought the on-demand system might have froze or sumthin. i have a magnum 325 and it has never done that and i have rode it in the snow for longer and harder.i need some help. any suggestions(within reason)

Look on the hub, there is a 3/16" hex head bolt. Take it out, and point the drain at 6 o'clock. Let it drain a while. Fill it until it is full enough so that a little drains out when in the 3 o'clock position.
It might be a good idea to take the hub seal off the end, and clean it out with WD40 or brake parts cleaner.
Most guys in here recomend using Mobil 1 synthetic ATF oil. That's what I put in my buddies, and it cured his hub sticking problems.

If the oil comes out looking dirty when you change it, ride it around a while & change it again. You want to get as much gunk out of the hub as possible. It only takes like 3 or 5 oz. per hub, so its not like it will cost much, just the effort.
