Default My muffler leaks a lot of exhaust

My muffler leakds a lot of exhaust where it connect to the elbow.
Is there supposed to be some sort of gasket between the two pieces?

(1996 Polaris Express 300, 2wd)

Thanks,
Scott

No gasket, maybe the springs need to be replaced.

If the springs and sealing surfaces are fine, clean it up a little and then wrap the joint with some stuff like THIS.

Hope this helps!

Thanks for the ideas, I'll let you know how it goes.
(It may be a few weeks though. Gotta get the transmission done.)
