Default Recommendations for cable lubing?

What does everyone use for lubing their cables? I have three different ATV's (two Polaris, one Suzuki) so I need some way to do it that is manufacturer independent. Are there adapter kits for different cables, different lubes for different applications, etc.?

Thanks!

Well I don't believe in lubing cables. I found that once you start to lube them you have to keep doing it or they freeze up. That is just from my experience.

Unfortunately, my son's LT-A50 already has some stickiness in one side's brake cables. Perhaps the previous owner lubed them (though I doubt it). In any case, they're hanging up now so I have to do something.

use cable lube and there is a tool that actually clamps on the end of the cable w/ a hole where you can spray the lube into it and it forces it all the way thru.
