Scrambler 500 rear master cylinder

Default Scrambler 500 rear master cylinder

Has anyone put a different name brand rear master cylinder in a 500 scrambler?? Mine is a 2001 and I could only find 1 thread of this and it was for a 96 sportsman, he put in a honda 400ex rear m.c.. Thanks Bull

I am sure with fabrication it could be done. Like you, I have a 2001 Scrambler in need of a new one.

Default Scrambler 500 rear master cylinder

Most of the time the rears quit because of air.You need to bleed them with the lid off for some reason and bleed them about twice a yr.

I second that, almost all of the time they stop working from air getting in them and then if you bleed them they will be fine for awhile again. I have had this happen several times and every time I fixed it by bleeding the brakes with the lid off.
