Default X2 serious tires needed

Hey guys I need your help. I have a 2006 500 X2 and live in the great state of TN. I have dirt, clay, mud, water, rocks and did I mention awesome mountains to climb.
I have spent hours if not days trying to find the right tires for all of these elements please help I am not sure with what kind to buy. Also I am probably looking to buy new rims with them as well any suggestions aluminum or steel?

For what it is worth, I've seen a lot of riders with the Mudlite XTRs. They all swear by them. They will probably be my next tires after I wear out the stockers.

how do the mudlites do in very rocky conditions? some areas I go to are miles of rock and boulders then before you know it your up to your seat in mud.

I don't get into a lot of rocks, some here and there but not miles of rocks. What I have gotten into has been great. And the XTRs are a 6 ply so you don't have to worry about the sidewalls as much. And a radial tire is nice if you get into any dirt roads or paved as well. Very stable at speed and no wandering like a Bias ply.

My recomindations. My new XTRs have proved themselves to me so far but they do cost a bit more. AMS swamp fox would be my second choice for a less expensive tire and wheel combo.

All of the people that ride the Paiute Trail in Utah seem to like the Maxxis Bighorns. Here in Arizona too!
