Hello, I just got an older Polaris 2x4 atv for free. It is white/red gas tank (2x4 on tank)/red seat, chain drive, oil tank. Anybody know maybe what year? Can you tell by serial/vin numbers? Engine has compession, It was running 5 yrs.ago but has been sitting out in weather and not been run in 5 years. You guys think it's worth fixing up?

Thanks.

Any atv that you get for free is worth fixing up, clean the carb and run it. If you look on the recoil you will see the first two digits of the engine serial # and that will tell what year it is.
