I JUST GOT THIS 4 WHEELER AND I NEED SOME HELP ON IT.THE AWD BUTTON HAS NO VOLTAGE NOR DOES THE N/R LIGHTS,EVERTHING ELSE SEEMS TO BE OK.1 COIL CHECKS TO BE OK THE OTHER ONE HAS A OPEN IN IT,BROKE WIRE I HOPE.I HAVE A SERVICE MANUAL ON THE WAY BUT I CANT WAIT FOR IT.CAN I JUMPER 12 VOLTS TO AWD SWITH AND GET THE VOLTAGE BACK TO THE COILS?

Check the gear indicator sensor. It sounds like a wire may be shorted out or broken there. The Polaris 4wd system is set up so there is no power when you are in Reverse. If the sensor is screwed up, or a wire running to it is broken, it may be why there is no power to the switch.

You could always try jacking up all 4 wheels, and jumping the wire that leads to the 4wd coil in the hub to the battery (or somewhere you know there is 12V). Have a friend spin the rear wheels while you do this. If the hub you 'energize', locks in, the hub is good, look for a bad wire somewhere. Hope this helps.
