check and make sure it has enough antifreeze in it. had the same problem with my scrambler 500 put antifreeze in it and it works fine.

if its running good and has all of its power, idle to full throttle until it heats up then the carb sounds good. maybe valves need too tight and need adjusting. just a thought.

may be a faulty coolant temp senser, on fuel injected car the coolant temp senser can do real funny things..

HEY MAN, I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM THE DEALER TOLD ME THE HEADGASKET WAS BLOWN, WE REPLACED THAT AND IT DID NOT FIX IT. THEN THEY SAID TO COIL WAS BAD, WE REPLACED THAT AND IT DID NOT FIX IT. THEN I TOUCHED TO SPARK PLUG CABLES AND GOT ZAPPED. I THEN REPLACE THE CABLES AND MY 05 700EFI SPORTSMAN HAS BEEN RUNNING GREAT SINCE. THIS HAPPENED BACK IN AUGUST OF 2006. GOOD LUCK LET ME KNOW IF THE WIRES WORK
