best mud tires

i've had mudlites on both quads i've had and they work good, but they aren't the most aggresive. BUT they are CHEAPER that stock tires, and lighter than other mud tires. i didn't even notice any difference in ride with the mudlites on roads or hardpacked trails

I just bought a set of 27" vampires and am very pleased with them. They are really good in the mud. not to bad on trails either. the only thing about them is if you ride in the creek you have to be gentle with the throttle or down you go because of the sand. Two weeks ago i tried to croaa a swampy mud hole and didn make it but last weekend i went through the same hole with ease. just my opinion

This thread is consistent with what others
said about the Mud lites, Gators, Zilla's etc.
I would like to know HOW do you know what
to put in front and the back w/r to sizes and
miz matches? Or do you all recommend to
go with all 4 to be consistent?
I agree the stock tires are okay for trail
riding, but mudd'in and snow abit weak.

as far as size goes...like someone else said, more than 1 size wider will rub in front. I made custom tierod end to move them inboard, but spacers work well also. And consider a clutch kit cause even 1 size bigger will take noticeable power to turn. What is tolerable is up to you. If you ride alot of trails , make a "sane ' decision on pattern and size (Executioners are about as harsh on trail as I would go) . My buddies mudlites are 10s in front but are "rears" so the lugs are more open also. from expierience ,with your quads body style 27s will fit without much rubbing , 26s will not hit ,remember , Bigpappa, you have radials so the pricier but EXCELLENT mudlite radials are a nice choice. I know 4 people with these tires they are GOOD in mud and real nice on the trail

I have heard that the Mud Bugs and Gators are rough and cause a lot of vibration on hard pack?? I just put 27" mud bugs on my unit and they don't seem very rough at all, even when plowing.

i know a guy who had mud bugs on his cat and he said they were great traction but didnt wear very good. my friends piellie mudwisers real vibrate on hard pack at lower speeds.
