my dad has the 04 600 4x4 with simalar miles he paid 2900. plus to make sure the propshafts were good. he got new ones and installed front and back. . i think 4500 with those miles is a steep price.

I will never buy another used bike....I dont care how good you check it out you could still miss something that could cost you alot of $$$$$.but thats just me....I just recently bought my first bike and have been working on it since. The guy I bought it from let it sit up for a while though....and that might be the problem...cause I ride the hell out of it.....(when the dealer or I arent working on it). All in all I love the bike ...but Im just saying next time I wont be buying someone elses problems.when my wallet recovers im gonna buy a brand new one and create my own.

this is kind of a true satement fo rmy self as well.unless you know the people well, you really dont know how something was taken care or beat the snot out of it. i run my stuff pretty hard my self so i want new so attleast i know if i drive it hard i know what to expect when it breaks. notice i didnt say "if" it breaks. its always when it breaks. i used to get pissed when i was younger about stuff breaking but even now if i ride it hard and it cost me money to repair it i know its my fault and i play, so i pay.

Well i quess it all depends on who you purchase things from and what type of person they are ,, You see i sell a lot of polaris atv 's being thats all my familly rides we have 6 machines and when one of us wants to upgrade a machine i sell a machine Usally on E-Bay and have had nothing but good Sucess First off i tell it like it is and then i stand behind the machine not to metion when the person who buys the machine Comes to my home to pick -up ..and has all my Phone numbers to reach me ..It would be pointless to hide stuff and have them either calling me complaining or coming to my home to tell about problems ...Besides i service 2 machines that i sold to people for a heck of a lot less than any dealer ..Plus i care about the work i do .. Just My 2 cents..

Well iam selling my sleds to get a 4x4 atv , I would like a bigger bore one with IRS , but all I can find in my price range is a 2004 Polaris Sportsman 600 4x4 , Iam prety sure it has 3500miles and its all stock. They want $4500. Are they're any well known problems with this machine ? I had a 98 Sportsman 500 and it was always breaking after it had 2500miles on it. It was also serivced regulary. Thats the only reason Iam hesitant because that put a bad taste in my mouth with polaris. Anyway any imput would be appricated.
3500 miles scares the $b-doink$ out of me.............and so does the $4500. You can buy the BRAND NEW 2007 Honda Rancher AT with EFI for $5000. That '04 Polaris makes no sence at all.

Don't make a HUGE mistake, expand your horizons!!
