Default burning plugs when running quad hot

95 polaris magnum425cc 4x4 4 stroke, i keep burning plugs when quad is runnung hot.i then loose power, quad bogs.
I adjusted the needle(leaned it out), gapped plug in, still continues to burn plugs when engine is hot. When i put a new plug in it runs fine until it starts working hard(gets hot) then same thing. can't figure it out. the carb i put in ran fine in another polaris quad.Could it be something other than the carb causing this?

Has anyone else had troubles with the 95 magnums 425cc

It sounds like it might be running too lean. Put a new plug in and make a WOT pass shut it down and check the plug. It should be light tan, NOT white. Let us know what you find

Are the plugs coming out black ?

If so , it is to rich - very common for that model especially at the age it is .

There used to be a Polaris OEM kit number to take care of the issue .

What it was was a new needle and nozzle (needle jet) . Vibration would wear the needle and nozzle to the point of extreme richness.

I sure hope he is not burning the electrode off!!!!...That means there should be some deposits in the engine......Caper...........It needs to go somewhere!!!!!!!!!!!
